Getting Started

Getting Started FAQs

I am not sure which service I need. Where do I begin?

Start with a free 30-minute discovery call. Most clients come in thinking they need one thing - a brand refresh, a training workshop, a coaching engagement - and through conversation we often find the real priority is something adjacent. There is no obligation, no pitch. It is simply a chance for both of us to decide if there is a fit. Book directly through the Work with me page.

Do you work with individuals as well as organisations?

Yes. About half my clients are founders, senior professionals, and entrepreneurs looking for individual coaching or brand strategy support. The other half are organisations - corporates, SMEs, and B-schools - engaging for team training or communications consulting. The work is tailored to whoever is in the room.

What sectors do you work with?

Over 30 years I have worked across Art and Culture, Amusement, Agri-tech, Auto, Consumer Tech, Edu-tech, Energy, Engineering, Fintech, Healthcare, IT, Lifestyle, Management Consulting, Retail, Spirituality, and Telecom, among others. I do not specialise in a single sector by design. Cross-sector exposure is precisely what brings fresh perspective to a client problem.

Do you work remotely or only in person?

Both. Coaching and consulting engagements run seamlessly online. Training programs can be delivered virtually, in person, or as a hybrid, depending on what works best for the team. I am based in Mumbai and work with clients across India and internationally.

Business Coaching

Business Coaching FAQs

What does a typical coaching engagement look like?

Most coaching engagements start with a diagnostic session - understanding where you are, where you want to go, and what is getting in the way. From there, we design a structured program, typically running over 3 to 6 months with fortnightly sessions. Each session is focused on a specific challenge or decision, backed where relevant by AI-assisted analysis: market data, positioning benchmarks, and competitive landscape. Between sessions, I am available for quick consultations on urgent calls.

Who is business coaching best suited for?

Founders navigating growth or a pivot. Senior professionals stepping into larger roles. Entrepreneurs who have built something that works but feel stuck on taking it further. The common thread is not the size of the business - it is that the person is serious about making a meaningful change and is willing to commit time and honest reflection to the process.

How is this different from a management consultant?

A consultant typically comes in, diagnoses, and delivers a report. A coach builds the capability in you to diagnose and decide with confidence over time. My approach blends both - I bring strategic frameworks and sector experience alongside a coaching process that leaves you more capable, not more dependent. The goal is always that you need me less over time, not more.

Corporate Training

Corporate Training FAQs

Can training programs be customised for our organisation?

Always. Off-the-shelf programs are the starting point, not the delivery. Before every engagement I run a needs assessment - understanding your team current capability level, your business context, and the specific outcomes you are aiming for. The content, case studies, exercises, and even pacing are then tailored accordingly. A training program for a fintech sales team looks very different from one for a healthcare communications department.

What topics do your corporate training programs cover?

Core programs cover Leadership Communication, Marketing for Non-Marketers, Brand Management, Digital Marketing Strategy, Business Storytelling, and Generative AI Fluency for Teams. I also design bespoke programs on request, including programs that combine communication, marketing, and AI themes into a single cohesive intervention. All programs include practical exercises, not just theory.

What is the typical format and duration?

Formats range from a focused half-day workshop to a multi-week modular program. For most corporate teams, a two-day intensive or a four-session series works best. Longer programs designed for sustained behaviour change run over 6 to 8 weeks with reinforcement activities between sessions. I am flexible on format and will recommend what fits your team size and schedule.

Do you offer post-training support?

Yes. Most training engagements include a follow-up check-in session 4 to 6 weeks after delivery to review what has been applied, address obstacles, and reinforce learning. For longer programs, I also provide a manager guide so team leaders can continue the learning conversation internally.

Communications & Marketing

Communications & Marketing FAQs

What does a communications and marketing engagement involve?

It depends on what you need. Some clients come for a brand audit and repositioning strategy. Others need a content marketing engine built from scratch. Some want an integrated campaign designed across PR, digital, and offline channels. We start with a brief diagnostic - understanding your current position, your audience, your competitors, and your goals - and then define the scope together. Engagements can be project-based or retainer-based.

Do you handle execution or only strategy?

Primarily strategy, positioning, and content direction, but I work closely with your internal team or bring in trusted execution partners where needed. After 30 years building and leading campaigns, I know what good execution looks like and will stay involved to ensure the strategy is not lost in translation.

Can you help with personal brand building for a founder or leader?

This is one of the areas I find most rewarding. A founder personal brand and the company brand are inseparable at early stages, and even at scale, the right personal positioning opens doors that no advertising budget can. I help leaders define their narrative, build their LinkedIn and thought leadership presence, and get featured in the right forums and media. This is Personality Brand Building, and it is a distinct service with a proven approach.

AI Integration

AI Integration FAQs

My organisation is nervous about AI. How do you approach that?

With total understanding, and without dismissing it. Nervousness about AI usually comes from uncertainty, not irrationality. My approach starts by separating what AI actually does from what the headlines suggest. We then look at your specific functions, identify where AI can genuinely reduce friction or improve output, and build capability incrementally. No one is asked to trust a black box. Every tool we introduce is explained, tested, and evaluated by your team.

What does responsible AI mean in practice?

It means human judgment always leads. AI is used to surface data, speed up analysis, or generate options, not to make decisions. It means being transparent with clients when AI tools are part of the process. It means not over-automating in ways that remove the human intelligence that actually differentiates a brand. I have held this position since 2020 and it has not changed regardless of how powerful the tools have become.

Do I need any technical background to benefit from your AI-integrated services?

None whatsoever. My clients are business leaders, marketers, and founders, not engineers. Everything is explained in business terms: what the tool does, what input it needs, and what you do with the output. The goal is that after working with me you can use these tools independently and critically, not that you need to keep coming back for someone to operate them for you.
